this year seemed to happen so fast. it seems like just yesterday i was at the exit in ringing in the new year with close friends. seems like a list is appropriate to name just a few this that happened this year.
top five trips i took:
1. knoxville, tn. steph's birthday. drinking games.
2. chicago trip #1. so much snow. seeing kristen and jake after 5 or 6 years.
3. destin, fl. spending my birthday at the beach!
4. chicago trip #2. kristen and jake got married. i saw annelise after 4+ years. just some good old fun.
5. new york, ny. spent my week off of work in new york. eating some amazing food (and having my brother pay for it).
top five desserts i created.
1. pop rocks bomb!
2. blood orange gelee with marscapone and pepper, blood orange segment and mint sauce.
3. roasted figs, funnel cake and burnt honey ice cream
4. carmel apple chiboust
5. rice pudding. curry ice cream.

it was an up and down year. with a move in between. i left my life to chase after my career and it seems to be working. i've been mentioned in 5 articles. i've have many people tell me how great my stuff is. things seem to be going somewhere. i wonder what will happen in 2009 or where i will move next.
