you can call me the cake whore...

so apparently i have taken up cake baking. for those of you who know me you can find this funny because i hate making cakes. they just arn't my thing. but in the past month i have had about 2 special order cakes, both for work and outside of work, a week. my mother likes to whore me out to her coworkers. this wouldn't be such a bad thing if i got paid well for it. but no, she charges next to nothing for cakes that will take me a few days. i guess making cakes on the side is better than me selling my body on the street for some extra money.

so it seems like the pop rocks dessert is for sure going to be in the october issue of modern luxury magazine. still keeping those fingers crossed that they don't cut the picture. i will find out when it hits the news stands in a couple weeks. it will be so weird to see my dessert on the pages of a magazine. i really won't believe it till i see it.

i really never meant for any of this to happen. when i moved back i just wanted to get a job...any job to make money and save on rent so i can go to europe. now i am being put in magazines and blogs and i have fans. people ask for me when they come it. things are happening too fast. i am in this position where if this is what is happening to me now...where do i go from here?

and the biggest thing that scares me is that if i work so hard on my career that other things will pass me by. mostly that i will never get married. i really would rather not be some 40 year old woman who works 80 hours a week and goes home to cats. i know, i know, i am 22 right now and i have pleantly of time to figure that part of my life out. but i just want someone to tell me that yes, i will get married and be loved. just so i can stop worrying about that part of my life.
who has a crystal ball?

it's been almost 4 months since i have been back to nashville. this may be the longest i have been away from that place in 3 years. i don't miss it. i miss people and situations. but i don't miss my job at all. it seems like i have finally moved on from that place, so i am free to go anywhere.

ps. ted turner so came in and ate one of my funnel cakes this week. hehe.

okay time to go eat breakfast burritos and go to six flags with my parents. sometimes i feel like i am 12 again.
