i really should be keeping up with this so one day i can look back at some point in my career. anyways...
i got an evil case of food poisoning. which i am still suffering from. i got sick monday night and tonight is friday...really. i just want to eat some food. working in a kitchen and not being able to look or smell food tends to be difficult. not to mention that i wanted nothing more than to curl into a ball and die (okay well sleep). luckily tuesday was slow and i got to stay at home for the day.
this week seemed to fly by. but at the same time today was only my month anniversary at aurora. i spend so much time there that i feel like i should have been there longer. yet it seems like the media dinner was just the other day, when it was actually to weeks ago. speaking of media, i believe one of my desserts is going to be in a magazine! (something like modern living) i know i know not a big magazine but still it is a start.
i have a new dessert coming out next week. hopefully. i need to figure out how to make it still.
we also have this big lunch on monday. 25 people. it is for the don periont (no clue how to spell that) champagne. these people are ballers and i have doing like 5 desserts for each person. what a way to start out the week.
even though this week went well i do have some rants. if you work the front of the house at any restaurant any where i don't want you to complain about what i am about to say. i hate front of the house people. really. your job is not that hard. you make sure the right tables have orders taken and they get there food on time and they have silverware. not too difficult. yet i have seen very very few good foh people. we don't really have them at aurora. if you order a dessert that you know take about 6 minutes to make and i put it out with ice cream then in the 6 minutes you should mark the table (put the silverware out) right? not to hard. i really have no respect for foh. ugh.
whateves.
one day left and then i get a day off! and i get to sleep in.
