i still get this weird feeling everyday when i walk into work. like i'm not suppose to be there. or maybe it's a feeling of being in the exact place i need to be at the right time in my life. can't really tell which it is. these first two weeks of work have been a blurr. by the time i commute to work, have a busy day where i often don't eat for 12 hours and commute home i have spent 14 hours on work. by the end of the week i am exhausted. but when i'm at work i am content and time seems to speed by. i get in at two start working on our prep list and next thing i know it will be 9 pm and time for me to go do dinner service. this is what i wanted again. right? i have to say i am kicking some ass at this place. i'm still the youngest by at least 5 years. yet, i am faster and better than most of the people. it helps that i have done most of these recipes before a few years ago. but i am also coming up with my own. like a pretty amazing pistachio cherry tea cake that sold out in the bakery in a day. being in my kitchen is one thing. but it's another when i have to go across the street to the restaurant and work the line. (the line is the station where all the desserts come out of.) it's so familiar but new all at the same time. i can't really describe it. i feel like the past 2 and a half years of my life wern't real. because i feel like i never left. makes a person realize how fast time really goes by. it's busy right now and it's not even holiday season yet. parties ever night this week and next week. should be an interesting season. but i survived once and i will do it once again.
on a totally random note i am working through ever major piece of zombie literature that's out there. nerd what? just finished plague of the dead: the morningstar virus. pretty great but not as good as world war z.
time to get ready for work.
